A varied exercise fitness routine is key to achieving great results, targeting multiple muscle groups, giving you overall fitness and ensuring continued motivation!

Training programmes may combine:

Cardiovascular - ‘Cardio’ for short, are exercises that give your heart a proper workout, whilst burning calories. Cardio exercises incorporate running, walking, jogging, skipping and cycling.

Resistance bands and free weights - Exercise with either of these, will achieve a similar result, adding variety to your workout. Both provide some form of resistance, increasing muscle strength, toning and decreasing body fat.

TRX suspension trainer – Total body resistance exercise, using a versatile training tool, working against your own weight, building core, strength, balance, flexibility and joint stability, to achieve any fitness goal.

Kettlebells - a cast iron weight (resembling a cannonball with a handle) used to perform exercises to combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training. The basic movements, such as the swing, snatch and the clean and jerk, engage the entire body at once.

Swiss Ball - Also known as Fit Ball is used for the core body muscles, targeting the abdominal and back muscles, improving your balance, coordination and core strength.
